On Friday 19th May, ANS joined the Northern Regionals at the Big Goal tournament in Sunderland.
The Big Goal is led by Street Soccer Foundation, Giacom, and Comms Dealer, who together created an exciting industry-led campaign which aims to end youth homelessness through the power of football by partnering with the largest industry sector in the UK.
The Big Goal provides the chance to offer young people an opportunity to develop their skills further through work experience, apprenticeships, and mentoring, helping to drive equality, diversity, and inclusion within organisations.
Each year, The Street Soccer Foundation provides the opportunity for companies to form 5-a-side teams and enter a national football tournament, and the inners progress playing at St George’s Park.
The ANS team were absolutely thrilled to take part and be involved. The Northern Regionals was a fantastic day filled with teamwork, passion and raising awareness. Although the team played amazingly, winning two out of four matches, we unfortunately didn’t make it to the finals.
Hats off to all teams, especially Elite Group, and here’s to an electrifying finals showdown at St George’s Park.
We already can’t wait for next year! #IndustryUnited
