Karbon Homes has partnered with leading digital transformation provider, ANS, to deliver a central and secure data platform, enabling the organisation to apply data and analytics across all areas of the business for improved ways of working, services, performance and decision making.
The new partnership supports Karbon with the delivery of one of its key strategic aims, to be ‘enablers of success’, which will empower the organisation to achieve its mission of ‘providing stronger foundations for life’.
Nathanial Ray, Karbon Homes’ Assistant Director of ICT and Digital Transformation commented ‘As an organisation we’re continuously looking at how we can improve how we operate. We were looking for a tool that would enable us to gain powerful performance insights, to help improve operational ability, increase efficiency and effectiveness and ensure we’re able to achieve our future goals.
Karbon Homes initially completed a Data Navigator assessment with ANS across their existing reporting and analytics delivery landscape and following this assessment, is now in the process of implementing an Azure Synapse-based data platform with ANS.
Nathanial added: “We had engaged ANS previously and their focus on the definition of value in creating the business case attracted us to partner with them on this Data and Analytics Platform Transformation.”
Karbon Homes initially completed a Data Navigator assessment with ANS across their existing reporting and analytics landscape. The assessment captured existing challenges, identified capability-gaps, business risks and provided Karbon Homes with insight for optimising their analytics processes and capabilities.
Karbon Homes will also benefit from ANS’ Data Centre of Excellence (COE). This service will enable the organisation to tap into ANS’ pool of data skills and expertise as and when their internal team needs additional support or capability. This service will be used to deliver additional use cases, onboard future data sources and broaden the value of the platform around the business faster. In partnering with ANS, Karbon Homes can embrace new ways of working, drive data literacy and an analytical approach to decision-making, so that data becomes a trusted asset.
Speaking on the project, Mikael Husband, Data and Analytics Engineer at Karbon Homes, said “The most important element to me has been the customer experience and the engagement that has taken place throughout development of the business case”.
Joe Wolski, CTO at ANS added “We’re excited to be working with Karbon Homes on this project and being part of the organisations strategy that will enable them to provide stronger foundations for life”.
