Doughty Street Chambers was founded in 1990 and is committed to defending freedom and civil liberties. It has a national and international profile across its wide range of practice in criminal law, civil law, human rights and more.
In April 2014, a celebrity announcement was made that caused millions to head to the internet in search of more information, and it was a rarely accessed chambers website that proved to be the fountain of all knowledge. Suddenly, the site faced a deluge of traffic it had never prepared for.
To ensure the site remained online and didn’t crash, ANS increased the RAM on Doughty Street Chambers’ website, installed web acceleration technology and optimised its database to keep the website running as normal.
